Human Rights Action together with other representatives of civil society of Montenegro and the region, signed and sent an appeal for the liberation of Florence Hartmann, former spokeswoman of the UN war crimes court at The Hague, who was arrested last week and is in the Tribunal’s Detention Unit.
HRA finds her arrest and punishment as unjust, contrary to the public interest and freedom of expression. Hartmann was convicted for publishing a part of the record of the ICTY’s proceedings against Slobodan Milosevic, who had at a time been declared secret.
