Within its activities of monitoring respect for human rights, in 2011 HRA published the Report on the human rights situation in Montenegro in 2010 and 2011 (Human Rights Report).
The Report consists of several chapters, covering the human rights legislation, human rights implementation, human rights as perceived by the citizens of Montenegro, and main issues in 2010 and 2011.
The Report is prepared in accordance with the methodology of human rights as guaranteed by the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, International Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights; and includes an analysis of constitutional and legal guarantees of rights guaranteed by international treaties and their application in practice. The activities within the Report include submitting requests for access to information, following the media and development of investigation and prosecution of cases of law violations, contacting lawyers who represent injured parties in these cases.
