Human Rights Action sent a letter today to President Filip Vujanović, in which we appealed to him not to declare three members of the Prosecutorial Council, who were, in our opinion, illegally appointed by the Conference of Prosecutors. Namely, prosecutors Veselin Vučković, Peter Kapuci and Miljana Radović were members of the Prosecutorial Council in the previous mandate of the Council, and the Law on State Prosecutor’s Office expressly forbids Council members to be appointed in succession, minimum four years from the expiration of previous mandate.
