GATHERING AT THE SUPREME COURT AGAINST THE ORDER OF THE HEALTH MINISTER

The Judicial Council on March 17, 2020 published at its website an invitation for participants in the selection process for candidates for judicial appointments, to gather on March 18, at 12 p.m. at the premises of the Supreme Court of Montenegro. HRA immediately reacted byattempting to find out from the Secretariat and the president of the Judicial Council Vesna Simovic Zvicer why the gathering was scheduled despite the Order of the Ministry of Health from March 13, 2020 (Article 1 point 3 ,,ban on all gatherings of people in closed as well as open public spaces’’), and on what occasion had it been scheduled. According to HRA information, up to 40 people were expected to answer to that call.

In case the Council was planning on conducting interviews, HRA had asked from the president of the Council to record the session and make transcripts available to public. HRA highlighted that it consideredthe gathering of numerous participants of selection process to be against the order of the Ministry of Health banning all in-door gatherings and announced that HRA representatives did not intend to monitor those interviews.

HRA also published the order of the Ministry of Health on its website (https://www.hraction.org/).
