Human Rights Action, in partnership with the Centre for Civic Education, Centre for Antidiscrimination “EQUISTA”, Women’s Safe House, Women’s Rights Centre and NGO 4 Life, delivered the books collected during the action “Give a book to prison for women of the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions”, on Friday, 28 June 2013.

During the monitoring visits conducted within the project “Monitoring Respect for Human Rights in Closed Institutions in Montenegro”, implemented by the above mentioned NGOs, and supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Podgorica, the monitoring team noticed that the prison library does not contain enough books, which are essential to the process of re-socialization of women in the prison. Therefore, Human Rights Action, together with partner NGOs, conducted a voluntary action that encouraged citizens to donate books to the prison for women.
