Eight non-governmental organizations and a researcher of human rights violation submitted a request today to the Basic State Prosecutor in Podgorica, demanding initiation of criminal proceedings against persons responsible in the Podgorica Capital City administration, due to non-compliance with the final court ruling in the case of Marijana Mugosa.
The request is intended to express the protest of non-governmental organizations regarding non-compliance with the final court ruling and decision on enforcement of the ruling of the Podgorica Basic Court, both of which oblige the Capital City to stop discriminating Marijana Mugosa and enable her to come to work and stay there accompanied by a guide dog, in accordance with the law.
Our intention is to encourage Basic State Prosecutor to consider, as soon as possible, the criminal complaint filed by Marijana Mugosa’s lawyer on 11 October 2010 against the person responsible with the Capital City administration for the criminal offence Non-compliance with the final judgment, set in art. 395 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, as the administration three times already ignored the final ruling and the decision of the Basic Court in Podgorica ordering its enforcement, despite the imposed fines.
The request for initiating criminal proceedings is signed by eight NGOs and one individual, namely:
1. Association of Youth with Disabilities in Montenegro
2. Human Rights Action
3.Centar for anti-discrimination “EQUISTA”
4. Center for Women and Peace education “ANIMA”
