Human Rights Action would like to thank the Food Bank Foundation on provided assistance to the temporary shelter for the homeless, established by HRA on 1 January 2013, for a three months period, with support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, which covers the majority of the shelter’s costs.

The donation of 101.6 kg in total contains basic ingredients: flour, sugar, oil, soup, rice, pasta, and cans, as well as laundry and dishwashing detergent.

The shelter provides two meals for the homeless, while the third one is provided in the soup kitchen of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Podgorica. Yesterday, HRA was informed that the Centre for Social Work in Podgorica reached an agreement with the Secretary for Social Work of the Capital, according to which all the people accommodated in the shelter will be provided with lunch with the Capital’s Soup Kitchen.
