About the Coalition

At the initiative and in coordination of the Centre for Development of NGOs (CRNVO), the Coalition of NGOs for Monitoring the Accession Negotiations with the European Union – Chapter 23 Judiciary and fundamental rights  was established. Long-term goal of the Coalition is to contribute to the establishment of institutions that will protect the interests of citizens, which will help achieve a noticeable improvement in the lives of the citizens of Montenegro. The Coalition was formed as the key result of the project “Cooperation for Development” which CRNVO implemented in partnership with the Centre for Peace Studies in Zagreb. Within the project, members of the Coalition had several months of training on the contents of Chapter 23, methodology of monitoring and reporting, and creating a communication strategy, by the Croatian ad hoc Coalition of NGOs for monitoring negotiations in Chapter 23 (now Platform 112), the first of its kind in the region. Also, they had the opportunity to speak with key stakeholders from civil society and the public sector in the Republic of Croatia, as well as representatives of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Croatia.
