15/3/2016 – THE MONTENEGRIN EVALUATION NETWORK HIGHLIGHTED THE WORK OF HUMAN RIGHTS ACTION (HRA) AND UNICEF AS EXAMPLES OF BEST PRACTICES IN THE AREA OF MONITORING AND EVALUATION IN MONTENEGRO

The Montenegrin Evaluation Network, in cooperation with the Western Balkan Evaluators Network, has chosen the experiences of Human Rights Action (HRA) and UNICEF Montenegro for best practices in the area of monitoring and evaluation in Montenegro. In this way, activities of HRA in monitoring respect for human rights and journalistic ethics have been recognized and singled out as a positive example, in accordance with the prescribed criteria.

Tea Gorjanc-Prelevic, HRA executive director, presented HRA work at the promotion meeting of Montenegrin evaluators on the topic “Exchange of experiences/ practices and evaluation standards in the area of monitoring and evaluation”, which was held on 10 and 11 March in Podgorica. Ms Gorjanc-Prelević spoke about the results of monitoring of respect of human rights in closed institutions in Montenegro, monitoring of operation of the Judicial Council and judicial reform monitoring, as well as the monitoring of journalistic self-regulatory bodies in Montenegro.
