4/12/2010 The prize “Passion flame” awarded to Tea Gorjanc Prelevic, HRA executive director

We are proudly informing you that the HRA executive director, Tea Gorjanc Prelevic, was awarded the Passion flame, a prize “striving to recognize and emphasize commitment and originality on the public scene of Montenegro and affirm individuals from different areas who exhibit a fiery passion in what they do, achieve extraordinary personal results and every day reach for more, establishing new standards in their profession and the society as a whole”. The prize was awarded by the company “Gorki list” foundation and the jury composed of 18 representatives of the Montenegrin media. The award founders noted that the winners of this award do not solely bring improvement in what they do by their passionate approach, they also give their best to the people and environment they work with and live in. The jury noted that “Ms. Gorjanc-Prelevic has been emphasizing cases of human rights violations in a well founded, professional manner, actively arguing for punishment of war crime perpetrators and facing the past through regional initiatives”. They further noted “Tea is a true example of how charm, youth and beauty may well go together with persistence and perseverance”.

The prize has been awarded for the first time this year in Montenegro to ten men and women. In the men’s category the winers were: writer Balsa Brkovic, singer Sergej Cetkovic, members of the expedition of Mountaineering Club Javorak Niksic – Dragan Vujovic, Marko Vujicic and Djordjije Blecic, Montenegrin water polo national team coach Petar Porobic and movie director Nikola Vukcevic. The special prize was awarded to the group of artists “The Books of Knjige”. In the women’s category, in addition to the HRA director, the prize was awarded to athlete Marija Vukovic, actress Marija Vickovic, literature professor Bozena Jelusic and painter Vasilisa Radojevic. The special prize was awarded to artist Marina Abramovic.
